About GBT

Hi, my name is Rob Meyer, and am the creator of this blog. After spending the past 3 years of my life living and traveling abroad, I decided to put together this blog as a resource to all those aspiring travelers out there, that wish they could be out traveling right now, but “think” that they don’t have the money to do it. Over the past few years I have learned volumes about how to travel for pennies, where to go, how to best use your money, and even how to make money while on the road. Therefore, I hope to use this blog as a platform to share my experiences, and to build a community of like-minded travelers, so that together we can fill the void of quality budget travel information on the web!

Hey.. loving the new design. It’s very problogger-esque with the video. Keep up the good work.

    Hey, there,
Like the fresh look. Reminds me of ProBlogger, which is really well designed.

Thanks for filling a missing niche in travel content online.

Thanks Nick, Sonny, and Sean, it’s nice to hear your kind words!

You’re right, the design is a little Problogger-esque, probably a little more so than I intended… But I like the overall clean look and feel, so probably won’t make any changes anytime soon.

Thanks again, hope to hear more from you guys in the future!

    Hi Rob:

After reading your article about shark attacks, thought I might add some new data. Here on the east coast of Florida at New Smyrna Beach we’ve had our tenth shark bite of the year. We are off to a great start for 2008!
